I wish I could draw comics like this. But I think I'm just too lazy. And not that good. >> *sigh!*

You did good! ^^

Oooh, this was so fun to read! Great job, and I just loved all the character interaction here! I also have to agree with FlameRaven though, it took me a few more seconds each page to figure out action sequences. Other than that, I'm really intrigued on what you're going to do next! Good luck!

aha, thanks =) Yes, I totally agree with you there >.< I think my next challenge will be to fulfill a set space limit instead. Alot of my pages really should have been broken up into 2, but because of time and bad planning >>; ...yeah x3 Thankfully I'll be able to exercise more caution about that next time =)

I agree on the making action shots clearer. But the faces are all wonderfully expressive and that is super nice :3

ALSO CONGRATS for getting to the end of round one! Here's hoping you make it to round two. And you should know while you were inking it was hard no to peeeeeek in your sketchbook but I didn't >8[

36 Pages?! My god, woman. You really are insane.

Good job, though. I really like you're handling the character expressions. You've got a looser style here that obviously helps when doing 103358379038 drawings, but it's still very dynamic and interesting.

I might advise being a little more careful/defined about 'special effects' shots, as I found it a little hard to tell just what was happening sometimes, and the panel layout is a little chaotic at times. You also might want to size the 2-page spreads down just a little, as the right margin is ending up right at the edge of my screen, making it a bit hard to read.

Still, you did a lot of work and it was definitely a fun and interesting read. Best of luck with the contest.

X__x wahh, I know. That was just bad planning too >> as you noticed with some of the page confusion. Totally agree with you! Next time I'm going to spend more time on the planning stage and make sure the comic is between 15-20 this time. Ah! And thanks for mentioning the sizing thing too. I'm hoping since the next time I shouldn't be spamming so many pages, it'll be ok to submit them one at a time, but that's a good thing to remember in case I do the spreads again =). Thanks Beth!

No problem. Like I said, you get major props just for DOING all those pages in so short a time.

How does this contest thing work, anyway? I'm always a little confused by the art-battle things. You both do a comic, and then the judges pick which one is better, and that person "wins"? Is that right? I find it all a little confusing.
