Black Tortoise of the North by ExiledChaos Black Tortoise of the North by ExiledChaos
4 Part Watercolor project. We made 4 paintings with one connecting theme. I chose the 4 Symbols in Chinese constellation mapping .

This is, of course, the Black Tortoise of the North, also representing water and winter. Also notice the stars! I like this one the most =)

Feehhh.... I could go on, but I don't feel like it right now >.< After spending yesterday wallowing in self pity over my crappy birthday I felt like doing something proactive ^^; lol. (I can't believe I'm 23 >>; shit. I hope I don't get injured or sick and diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!!! X__x)

Watercolor, on 300lb arches coldpress wc paper. Sorry for the crappy photos; I tried to fix them the best I could. Should come up with detail shots soon.

:bulletblack: Black Tortoise of the North

:bulletblue: Azure Dragon of the East

:bulletred: Vermilion Bird of the South

:bulletwhite: White Tiger of the West

nothing dear, you know you have a unique style of drawing apart the meaning of the drawing is interesting, you could make more turtles, as they are very pretty, do not you think?

I do love sea turtles. I haven't drawn many animals in general, but i love nature and draw much inspiration from it. I will try to draw more animals and sea creatures. I have a friend that always draws sea turtles very well and often, so maybe that might also be a reason I don't draw more of them, haha..
