Description:
~ This goddess of hunting takes the form of a mature woman. She is very tall and has a curvy build. Her droopy eyes are blue. She has light-colored skin. She is usually portayed as wearing a sexy set of furs. She carries a throwing star. She can strike a target perfectly, no matter the distance. ~
She reminded me alot of Diana, the Goddess of the Moon and Wildlife (hmm... well, she a goddess of someother things as well) So It just clicked I suppose. I'm happy with the background and the eyes. I ended up making it monocromatic, which makes me happy but mad with it.... sorta.... And I wasn't sure how old 'mature' is, so I put a few lines around her mouth and eyes (but you can't really see it now that it's colored) I hope this gets in on time.... I nearly procrastinated this contest to death =__=;; I colored this all today, in about 2 hrs^^ Also, dedicated to Cat and Mandy, for helping meXD I'm such a loser, I'm like a friggin leech Love ya guys!
Enjoy!! ^^
-Edit-
Look! This was the previous contest they held, The Magical Girl/Knight Anime Contest, and I got 2nd runner up!!! [link] Lets see if I can win XD (oh yes.... I'm VERY humble )
The bridge of the nose is a bit strong, and I'm not sure what the antler-like branches behind her are supposed to be - if they are antlers, then they must be attached to her upper back or neck, which seems odd... also, her throwing star is assymetrical, as the bottom left prong doesn't match.
Now onto the good stuff: The furs are well and economically drawn, and are complemented by the excellent subtle shading. Shading is overall good, as are the proportions and perspective. The sinple, almost carefree jagged lines of the furs are particularly well done, and are the best part of the picture in my opinion. Good stuff!
For some reason, there's a very erotic sense to this piece, with the "sexy furs" and all. I can't quite EXPLAIN it though.
*adds to faves*
Thanks
