For another illustration project; we're doing a few tarot cards this time of our theme. I decided to use characters from my dreams, since I have such vivid dreams with interesting characters and places, and I luckily have enough to possible make the entire major arcana and fit each cards symbolism 83

I used my were-nagi character for the moon card, since I thought she and her story fit the meaning of the Moon Card pretty well.

Prolly will do a mix of watercolor and digital for the final. Critiques welcomed! Hope you like

I love the composition. Naga is half-snake?

Well it's definitely brighter on the computer. You do get a better sense of what's going on...

I would say, you need more of the willowy strand-type things at the top, and... I actually thought the lower figure was standing in a pool of water the first time. I actually think that might not be a bad idea-- have her in water, and then the ghostly form of the naga all around her. Play with transparency, too... don't have the naga-coils all the same opacity, and maybe indicate the pattern of scales, more?

This one is more solid than the sun card, but it wouldn't hurt to punch up some of the details, I don't think.

Also! Make sure you're extra careful about printing these out for final crits. It seemed like they were really killed by low-quality printing last time.
