The second color sketch entry I did for a school/city contest; this one made it in =) yayyy! The final version will be put up in an exclusive gallery with the 9 other contest entrants and have a chance to win a $1000 prize =D I'm excited!

The concept of this is the Turritopsis nutricula: the Immortal Jellyfish xD This thing is crazy, go look it up! I love it and I thought it fit well with the "continuous" theme the contest has. Another requirement for the contest is to have a continuous line drawing somewhere in the illustration. I might have flubbed some of the lines here, but it will be a quick and easy fix; everything is laid out correctly. I also have a Mucha/ art nouveau style inspiration going on.


Media: Marker and colored pencil. The final will likely be in watercolor and colored pencil... and have a darker bg. Time: 3-4 hours.
