Lirael Faces the Stilken:cover

FULLVIEW PLEASE!

A book cover project for illustration class. Garth Nix's Lirael, in the scene where she's preparing to face the Stilken.

I really enjoyed doing this! I think this is also one of the better paintings I've done _{...though teacher didn't think so e__e but she's always like that...}, and sure there's some things I could still fix or change, but I didn't want to mess with it too much more (I already had to fix a bit in Photoshop since the colors in the photo were off, and I wanted to enhance some other things). I'm still pretty satisfied. And if you haven't read the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix, DO IT!! It's a great read.


Done in Watercolor and Colored Pencil on Soft Press 300lb paper. (with minor correction in PS)

I still have 2 other covers I might finish. I should be posting the color sketches for all 3 soon
