Finally the ("long awaited") SPORE Project that was consuming my life for the past 3 months. We wrapped up maybe 2 weeks ago now, but I was lazy/busy and only just now decided to compile the piles of work I did. I think I did a total of about 26 creature arts, plus each work had a lineart to go with it, so a total of 53 (there was an alternate form for one creature, but same lineart)... if I remember right...
Basically, we got a grant to make a game for middle school age kids teaching them about the scientific method and evolution with the SPORE game. There are several level with a different species focus for each (ex: reptile level, mammal level, etc) and level leaders for each one to design the different levels and their objectives. It was an interesting project, and alot of work.
The guy in the top middle is Alix, and he's the main character. The glowing creature, the winged green creature below it, the Ant Queen in the top right corner, and the plant bud in the bottom middle are all a part of the Insect Level (the level I was unofficially "art leader" for xD and my boyfriend was the level designer. The middle strange eye tree and the dragon warrior are part of the Amphibian level, and Reptile Level, respectively.
These creatures were all original creations of different people, mainly my boyfriend David Ewers and my professor and project manager Mat Powers, and made in SPORE.
