Part 1 of a 3 part series for my Drawing class. The assignment was.. pretty much anything we wanted x3 so I went with a theme very dear to me; once again, ladies and gentlemen, my dreams: (x3 lol... )

I had a dream a few days prior to when this project was assigned. The dream was so bleak and depressing, but still so stunningly beautiful and real to me. A young boy and girl traveled through a doomed world, slowly turning to dust and disintigating into white nothingness. No "chosen one" or magic quest, just two lonely children trying to survive in the only world they've known. What caught me about their Apocalypse was that normal, I would think a world would end in fire, or war, or brimstone like a comet hitting the world or global warming flooding everything. But with thier world, it was more like a drawing being erased, leaving nothing but empty space behind. The continents broke off from the disapperaing land and floated in the space, until they finally unraveled too. The dream ended with the boy and girl sitting on a little raft in an ocean of nothingness and they too disppeared. But in the end, there was a sense of hope, that maybe the world would be reborn someday and maybe then the boy and girl can exist again.

I hope maybe to be able to write more about it, like in a children's book even. x3 lol. But for now, sticking to assignments. I'm quite happy with how this turned out^^ although, lol, the critque she gave it was....very critical... XD Not so much on compostion but concept. It was confusing xD so I won't elaborate on it; but I'm happy with it and a lot of other people liked it too, i think =).

Hope you enjoy^^ 2 more to come!

Medium: India ink wash, Micron-pens 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, and a hint of watercolors Burnt Seina and Yellow Ocher.

Time~ about 13hr.

D: I wish I had dreams like this. True, I do have good dreams, and they're not just random crap- they actually have something resembling a storyline... but a lot of the time, when I actually say them, they sound cheesy, cliche, or plain old weird. And the best ones always have some anime or video game involved with them. ._.' It's like dreaming fanfiction, with no Mary-Sues. I actually had to write one of my fanfiction-ish dreams because it was so strong... >>; It was really a necessity. Two days later, I hadn't forgotten it, and it had the same impact as it did initially. O_o
But I just went off on a ramble, and it was completely rude. Sorry. ;_;
I don't know how, but this picture combined with the description... it really feels like a dream. And the background is wonderfully realistic. :heart: The flowers are also a nice touch, indicating the hope... or just randomly being there. 8D

=D It's okay; I like to hear about other's thoughts and dreams too! Hehe, actually you sound alot like me lol >> most of the time, I really do dream in anime xD lol, I'm such a fangirl. And occationally I'll get a real fun fanficy dream x3 but I also usually have an avatar of some kind so I guess I'd be a Mary-Sue :rofl: tehe ;P

Thank you for your comment =D I'm so glad you like it so much^^ and thanks for the fave too! :hug:

Dudette...I totally realized something tonight...

Bear with me here. I might just be having a schitz moment, or I might have some semblance of a genuine thought. Not sure which.

You say "But in the end, there was a sense of hope, that maybe the world would be reborn someday and maybe then the boy and girl can exist again."

Then you drew your dream, yes?

You made them exist again. oo You recreated their world, with them in it.

Cooooool....

mew O.o; what's RPG Maker? So then, will my picture be an rpg? xD; lol. I don't know how interesting an rpg it would make, since the entire dream consisted of a disappearing world and a little boy and girl just trying to survive to the end, when everything was blinked out of existance x3 lol, but yeah. go for it! I wanna see how it would turn out. tehe, thanks =D

Haha, I got my idea on how to add up a bit of flavor for the 3h+ gameplay =D Won't need any changes to the story either: world disappearing, only trying to survive, hope at the end =D Alrdy is a sweet concept

PS: RPG Maker is a program used to make FinalFantasy1-6 types of games. You can import material too such as pictures or pixels. Quite good, I'd recommend checking out "A Blurred Line 2.1" over internet, that game would have roxxed should it have made into a Snes game O_O

aww D: I know sometimes when I'm stressed or occupied with another idea, I can't remember my dreams. Maybe if you try so dream remembering excercises >>... (which basically consists of telling yourself before you sleep " I WILL remember my dreams tonight" xD lol.... nice excercise >> ) it might work? ^^; lol. Sorry babe .__.;

Tehe, thanks hun :hug: lol, XD I think she just didn't get to concept and story of it, so in turn she attacked the composition of it. hm... out of curiousity, and be honest, where does your eye flow in this picture? Does it lead along the path, al the way up?

The last dream I remember really clearly was trippy, but it could almost be recreated in Flash I think.
first, there was nothing, just a sense of being on a horse. I'd say it was total darkness but I'd be lying, there was no sense of light and dark. Then there was this sudden rush of imagery, just these rapidfire high contrast black & white snapshots basically, all of horses in different poses. It went so fast it was almostr animated, but clearly it was stills. Y'know? Anyway, then it went back to nothing, and I heard "Saba died peacefully." I woke up crying.

Weirdest part is, this was right after our gelding, Salty died. But Saba's still with us.

Yeah, actually, it sorta does. oo...But pay no mind to what my eyes do, they are in the head of a complete weirdo.

okay x3 thanks for telling me. In the crit. she kept saying that her eyes would stop at the figures and not continue on the path >>... I just don't get her.

Wow, that does sound werid O_o and alittle scary. I hate dreams like that... creepy>> esspecially if they make you cry :hug: mew... Who's Salty and Saba? Sorry T^T I should prolly know these things by now.

Salty was our arabian gelding. He was so sweet. 16 years old when he passed.

Saba is our 7/8 arabian mare. Older than I am and still kickin' hard.

As for the dream...I believe it was Salty, trying to give me some closure. I never got to say goodbye, really. And he may have been telling me that it won't hurt for Saba the way it did for him. Which is an immense comfort really. I don't think I could take seeing another of our horses go out in pain like that.

16 is middle aged. Saba is old at 28. Very much up there.
Salty was like a brother more than anything. But if we hadn't lost him, I wouldn't have goten my wonderful cat Mau Mao. we got him 3 days after Salty's death because it felt so utterly wrong to come home short a family member, so we added one.

Good grief... you almost made me cry. I don't see any fault in the concept. I relate to the concept so well it's almost like you read my mind (or my past?). Not exactly, but I think it's a beautiful concept that relates more truthfully to a more dire "Apocalypse" than fire or stars falling. Sorry, I'm probably reading deeper into it than you meant. I know people will see things in my art that I never intead and it's like "dude, I didn't mean for it to be deep" lol.

You probably think I'm weird now lol. but oh well :p I'm probably more than a little messed up haha btw awesome dream. Most of my dreams are like spaghetti; a mess. They make NO sense.

awww :aww: don't cry, tehe :hug: lol =D I'm glad you can take away so much from it; I think that's the great thing about art, each people takes away something different because of their own exprences and personalities =D It's really cool to see what other feel and think of it. And I don't think you are werid ;) and if you are weird, it is the good kinda weird x3 tehe. We could start a werid club XD lol.

now that would be interesting.... DA's "the good kind of weird" club XD

Yeah I personally like hearing people interpretations. Even when I'm suppose to talk first about my own art, I'll be like, "Nope, I wanna hear what they think first" :D I guess I can get away with it because I'm always vocal about critiquing other's work ^_^

lol... there would be too many people for that club XD what would be really bad though is if the club was picky about who got it. And people would receive notes like "I'm sorry, you're the bad kind of weird" or "I'm sorry, you're just not... weird enough"

Yeah most of my classes people have people unwilling to let go of their teeth too. Typically I'm quiet as well. But because I'm so use to critics now, I throw myself out there to get people started. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

It can be hard to shut me up sometimes lol. I can form an opinion on anything. See the good and bad, and tell you what to do about it. Most of the time anyways ^_^;

x3 omg! could ypu imagine getting a note like that. lol! :rofl:

Hm... on the web I'm pretty good about voicing my opinion and giving helpful feedback xD and sometime I'm okay at doing it in real life too, but alot of the work we crit now has really layered and deep meanings to the artist, x3 so it's hard to crit without offending someone, so I usually just shut up :XD:

Hmmm that is an issue. I don't think I've had a lot of classes like that. Though there were some projects people did with intended deeper meaning. I don't think they were offended... but maybe because those were the older people?

Getting a note like that would be almost awesome in the weirdest way. Though I suppose only people worthy of the club would think that o.O The rest would get their pitch forks out :p
